2010. May 3-5.
Dear Coaching Colleague,
Please join us for the first offering of our unique new SoL Coaching program, Coaching from a Systems Perspective. This course grows out of the evolution of the SoL Coaching Model by members of the SoL Coaching Community of Practice. After several years of application in a variety of organizations, we have found the systems aspect of our practice to be among our most distinctive contributions to our clients and to the field of coaching.
Systems Thinking has been evolving throughout the 20th century. We are now reaching a broad synthesis that the world and the universe are fully systemic in nature; ultimately we are all parts of a whole. Research has demonstrated that organizational performance isn’t always just about how hard a person works or how smart he/she is. Often individuals find themselves in systemic structures which, when un-seen, drive them to behave in particular ways. No matter how hard they try (using their usual approaches) they are challenged. Coaching from a “systemic perspective” provides opportunities for learning and being that may not be seen from an individual (or parts) perspective.
This course is designed for experienced coaches who want to develop their capacity to coach from a systems perspective. ICF Continuing Education Credit certification is pending and a course certificate of completion will be granted to all participants of the full 2.5-day course and the follow-on European Learning Circle Day and teleconference component (designed to ensure that the learning is embedded in the coaching practice of each participant).
